Near the mountain town of Pagosa Springs, in the San Juan National Forest sits Williams Creek Reservoir, a man-made lake a little over a mile long and a half-mile wide.

Molas Pass is found high in the San Juan National Forest. Motorists can reach the 10,970 foot summit between Silverton and Durango on Highway 550.

Located in the heart of the San Juan Mountains in Southwest Colorado, Purgatory Resort offers picturesque mountain vistas from many places on its slopes.

The Colorado Trail comprises 567 miles of trail between Denver and Durango and passes through some of the most spectacular scenery in the Colorado Rockies.

Mid-September is a great time to drive the San Juan Skyway and see the glowing hillsides of aspen trees. The section just south of Ouray is amazing!

The ghost town of Animas Forks is located high in the San Juan Mountains at 11,200 feet. There are several original buildings remaining.

Just north of Durango in the Animas Valley, Missionary Ridge road abounds with hiking and biking trails, along with great views of the La Platas.
